This is an outdoor production, and whilst all seats are covered by sun/rain canopies, please do still dress appropriately for the weather and take adequate precautions against sunburn/sunstroke, rain, cold and insects.
We will not cancel a performance in advance due to weather conditions. The performance will be stopped if extreme weather conditions make the performance and auditorium area unsafe for actors or audience members. If a show is stopped and cannot be re-started we will make every attempt to re-seat audiences in an alternative performance.
Pre-paid tickets can be collected from the Box Office located in the Yorkshire Museum from 1.5 hour prior to the performance. Tickets can also be purchased from here at this time.
The production will last approximately 3.5 hours, with an interval, so please ensure that you will be comfortable for this length of time; for example bring blankets to keep your legs warm etc.
Blankets will also be available to hire for only £1.
Temporary pathways will be laid down around the auditorium however it is possible that you will need to walk over grassed areas so please wear suitable footwear.
Whilst our seats are comfortable you are welcome to bring your own cushion for added comfort. Cushions will be available for audiences to hire on the day.
The Museum Gardens are an excellent location to have a picnic so you may want to bring something with you to enjoy prior to the show. Alternatively food will be available to purchase onsite and our bar will be serving chilled wines, draught and bottled beers as well as soft drinks.
Whilst photography is prohibited during the production there will be an opportunity to take photographs at the end.
We would love you to share these with us, so please tweet them using the #mysteryplays hash-tag and post them on our Facebook page.
