The York Mystery Plays 2012 supports Access for All. We welcome all theatre-goers and provide an extensive range of services.
For patrons with disabilities concessions are available.
There is street level access to the Yorkshire Museum Gardens through both the Museum Street and Marygate entrances.
Please be aware that the Museum Gardens feature a number of inclines/declines and uneven pathways. There is ramped access to the Yorkshire Museum.
Toilet facilities with disabled access will be available on site.
Online booking is available however we suggest that you contact the York Theatre Royal Box Office directly to discuss your requirements to ensure that you are seated in the best area for you to enjoy the performance.
Due to the anticipated high level of demand, pre-booking is essential.
A half-price companion ticket is available when purchasing a ticket for someone who is registered disabled.
There are wheelchair spaces available in the main seating area. Please discuss these with our Box Office staff when booking your tickets.
Audio described performances for the bind and partially sighted will take place on Thursday 23 August at 7.30pm & Saturday 25 August at 2.30pm & 7.30pm.
Please collect your pre-booked headset from the onsite Box Office prior to the performance.
There will be a Sign interpreted performance for the deaf, deafened and hard of hearing on Wednesday 22 August at 7.30pm.
The performance on Saturday 25 August at 2.30pm will be a captioned performance
Guide dogs are welcome, and we provide a 'dogsitting service'. Water bowls are available.
